Trackseller was designed for artists to sell their music.
An artist needs to register and becomes a registered person.
Then the registered person adds his artist properties and becomes a registered artist.
For trackseller, a venue also is a registered person but in this case the registered person adds a venue (=label) sign to it.
So now we have registered persons that can be artists or venues.
An artist can now add a.) a label that he or she is signed to or b) a venue(=label) can add artists.
Let's look at case b.) for a venue to sign multiple artists to trackseller.
The venue is a registered person that may add artists. Trackseller handles a venue like a label.
Every entity has it's own scheme how the money paid by customers come to that entity.
As an artist it is easy : 88.5% go to the artist and 11.5% go to trackseller when aou select The self-administered webshop. Other storage solutions are available under the products section.
So now as a venue you do not want that every sale a signed artist makes directly goes to the artist, you als want your share.
That is where the venue contract with the artist and the venue contract with Trackseller comes into play.
The venue contract with the artist holds the following rules:
1. The artist recievs x% of a sale or x-8% when the artist is member in any collcting society.
2. the venue recieves y% for each sale
The venue contract with trackseller holds the following rules:
1. The artist recievs x% of a sale or x-8% when the artist is member in any collcting society.
2. the venue recieves y% for each sale
3. trackseller recieves it's provision z% (for example 11.5% when trackseller offers a certain amount of webstorage for the venue)
What is the special benefit for a label to sell music digitally via trackseller ?
Usually when you run a webshop programmed for you, you will have to calculate each sale for each artist at the end of the month.
Then you will have to calculate the artists percentage and you will have to pay out the money to the artists.
With trackseller every artist has it's own account that he manages himself. The venue only adds the songs and albums to trackseller.
The money is managed entirely by trackseller. Every sale is directly split into each account and goes straight to the artists and venue.
What do you have to do now as a venue ?
Register for a new account
start your online shop when you are logged in
